Public Annoucement
The Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) hereby informs all affected landowners under the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) Airport Phase I development project to visit your nearest financial institution to apply for a freeze on Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) payments related to their loan accounts.
This relief measure is intended exclusively for landowners whose livelihoods have been directly impacted by the land acquisition process and consequent relocation, specifically those who have experienced:
- Cessation of business operations, and/or
- Loss of primary income sources
Eligible applicants will be assessed by their respective financial institutions, and approved EMI freezes will take effect from June 2025.
