Ms. Tshering Om Elected as the 5th President of FIAB
The Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) is pleased to announce that Ms. Tshering Om, Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Development Bank Limited (BDBL), has been elected as the 5th President of FIAB at the 32nd FIAB Governing Board Meeting, held on 18th August, 2026.
FIAB extends its warmest congratulations to Ms. Tshering Om on her election to this important leadership position. Her appointment comes at an important time for the financial sector, and FIAB looks forward to benefiting from her leadership, experience, and commitment to strengthening collaboration and collective action among Bhutan’s financial institutions.
As President, Ms. Tshering Om will lead FIAB in advancing its mandate of promoting cooperation, addressing common sectoral issues, and fostering a stronger, more resilient, and progressive financial sector in Bhutan.
