Legal Standing Committee Workshop
FIAB successfully concluded a five-day Legal Standing Committee Workshop from 10th to 14th August 2026 at Metta Resort & Spa, Paro. The workshop brought together members of FIAB’s Legal Standing Committee to undertake detailed deliberations on key legal and operational matters affecting Financial Institutions.
The workshop focused on the review of the Common Loan Agreement, Common Auction Guidelines, Consortium Agreement and Bank Guarantees, implementation and recognition of digital signatures for lending purposes, and revision of the Movable and Immovable Property Act (MIPA), 1999.
The workshop provided an important platform for the Legal Standing Committee to consolidate the views and experiences of colleagues from member FIs and work towards common recommendations on key legal and regulatory matters affecting the financial sector.
