FIAB Hosts Farewell Reception Honouring the Distinguished Service of Dasho Penjore
On December 5, 2025, the Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) hosted a special farewell dinner in honour of Dasho Penjore, the outgoing Governor of the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), whose term of office has come to a successful conclusion. The event, attended by the newly appointed Governor, the Deputy Governor, CEOs of financial institutions, and staffs of the FIAB Secretariat, was organised to recognise and celebrate Dasho Penjore’s exemplary leadership and lasting contributions to Bhutan’s financial sector.
The FIAB President expressed deep appreciation for Dasho Governor’s unwavering support, visionary guidance, and commitment to strengthening the country’s financial system. Under Dasho Governor’s stewardship, the financial sector witnessed significant reforms, enhanced regulatory clarity, and improved collaboration between the RMA and financial institutions, all of which have laid a strong foundation for sustained stability and growth.
The evening served as an opportunity to reflect on Dasho Governor’s notable achievements, including his steadfast dedication to promoting financial inclusion, fostering digital transformation, and advancing sound monetary and supervisory practices. His tenure was marked by a spirit of partnership that has greatly benefitted the financial community and the nation at large.
FIAB, on behalf of all member institutions, conveyed its sincere gratitude, good health and best wishes to the outgoing Dasho Governor as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey. The Association reaffirmed its continued commitment to working closely with the RMA, under the leadership of the new Governor, to collectively promote a robust and progressive financial sector in Bhutan.
